Creative Play with NEW! Lovely Layers: Doves

It is officially the start of my favorite crafty season – Christmas! I know, I know, it’s only October. But honestly, in the crafty world we start our Holiday crafting around September. So, we are well into the swing of Holiday crafting around here.

Honey Bee Stamps just dropped their Holiday Wishes Release and it is a GOOD one y’all! I am especially excited about the new Lovely Layers dies. I mean, I’m always excited for them…but the Holiday ones are always a special treat, and these are no exception! Today, I’m sharing my absolute favorite from the release, Lovely Layers: Doves. 😍

As I shared in the video, I decided to pair the doves with the new Lovely Layers: Seasonal Frame. The set allows you to create a rustic frame and decorate it for several different seasons. But I chose to use some of the floral elements to create floral patterns to encase my doves.

While I love a traditional Christmas color palette, there is something so fun and unexpected about unconventional Holiday color palettes. And that dark navy background really brings the drama!

I can almost never get away with creating just one card in a session because once those creative wheels start turning, it’s hard to put on the brakes. So while I had everything out, I decided to create a lighter version using the same colors just for contrast.

I swapped out the navy background for a light grey one and went with white flowers. I do love this one too and think it could easily be used for a wedding card!
