Vintage Floral Cupcake: Lovely Layers Cupcakes & More

Hello friends! I’m beyond excited to announce that I have a new die set with Honey Bee Stamps…and…it’s a Lovely Layers Die!

If you’ve been with me for a minute, then you know that I am a super fan of the Honey Bee Stamps Lovely Layers series of dies. They are, hands down, my favorite dies on the market. So when the opportunity presented itself to design and illustrate one of my own, you know I jumped on it before Melissa could rescind the offer! 😂

A video introduction is in order for this versatile set, so let me introduce you to Lovely Layers: Cupcakes & More.

As I went over in the video, this set is packed with dies to create several different sweets and treats. We wanted to make sure that it went beyond just cupcakes and provided several vessels to hold different desserts, from cupcakes to ice cream, and all of the toppings too. And while this is perfect for bright and cheerful celebrations, you know that I couldn’t resist pairing it with some soft vintage florals.

I used the cupcake base along with the icing layer (which can double as soft serve ice cream to use with the ice cream cone in the set) for my main focal point. Instead of going with bright party colors though, I chose to use a softer color palette for a vintage vibe and paired it with some florals from Spellbinders. 😍

For the background, I layered a couple of the Lovely Layouts sets that feature a postage stamp edge. Lots of glitter and little bit of distressing finished off this one off.

I really couldn’t be more happy with how these dies turned out. Be sure to watch the video above to see everything included in the set along with samples of different ways to combine all of them.

As always, thanks for stopping by. I hope you find some time to create today!
