VIDEO: My Newest Collection with Honey Bee Stamps

Hello friends! I’ve been a busy bee (pun intended 🙃) with the newest release from Honey Bee Stamps. They are celebrating their 9th birthday and just had a huge release in celebration…and it’s a GOOD one!

I have few items in this release that I designed and illustrated, and I’m excited to share them with you all! Today, we are taking a look at the Storybook Spring collection. This is a suite of items including stamps, dies, and stencils that all coordinate with one another. I created this collection with old storybook illustrations in mind. So it has a simple illustration style with fine lines, perfect for coloring with all mediums. But, if you prefer, there is also a stencil available to assist with adding color to these images for quick and professional results every time. ❤️ Be sure to watch the video below for a full introduction to Storybook Spring.

Per usual, the following are still shots of each project created in today’s video along with a little overview. All products will be listed at the end of this post for convenience. If you’d like more details on any project and/or to see how they were created, be sure to check out the video! 😉

The first card features the large wreath in this set. The set was designed so that you could use the wreath alone or with the adorable little bunny. Several of the larger sentiments are sized perfectly to fit inside the wreath as well – which is what I settled on for this one. As you can see, the wreath is generously sized and carries the front of an A2 card with ease. Little else was needed for this sweet and simple beauty.

For the background of this card (and the next) I used the Eyelet Lace 3D embossing folder. This folder is a 5×7 folder with a swiss dot pattern on the top portion and a detailed scallop lace pattern at the bottom. The swiss dots felt perfect for the storybook vibe I was going for without over complicating the design.

Next up, I decided to use the bunny as my focal point.

Does it get any sweeter than that??? I created a little mini scene with some of the extra florals, the bees, and the butterflies included in the set. To finish it off, I added a flower crown to the bunny using one of the extra floral arrangements in the set. 😍 I think these would make the cutest little baby cards, or even birthday cards for young ones.

Finally, I wanted to show how you can quickly and easily create super simple – yet cute – cards that were not only fun to create, but are one layer and postal friendly! I just stamped everything on a card panel, used the stencils to add my color, and then mounted the mounted to a card base with liquid adhesive. So simple.

I hope that you have enjoyed this look at Storybook Spring! I really enjoyed illustrating it, and am having so much fun creating with the collection. I really love that I was able to create a stencil for this set and hope to be able to do more in the future. What do you think? Let me know in the comments, do you like having the stencils available?

As always, thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you next time!
