VIDEO: Spellbinders BetterPress™ DEEP Dive

I’ve got a treat for you today! Like most of you, I was very excited for the new BetterPress™ Letterpress system from Spellbinders. I mean, just look at these results using it for its intended purpose!

For my first run through, I used the watercolor paper and ink that comes with the system, and of course, chose watercolor as my color medium. I was IN LOVE. But…it IS another expense and another think in my craft space, so I decided to go deeper and give it a good workout to see what else I could do with it. Be sure to watch the video below to see how I fared.

Spoiler Alert: I’ve since discover a couple more things you can do with!

I’ve included some stills of a few of the resulting cards, but there are quite a few and demo pieces, so don’t pass up the video to see them all.

I do especially love the colored pencil on black. There is a trick to this one, I did a blind letterpress first. I kept everything on the base and the card taped to the platen and colored the image. I then letterpresses it again using Honey Bee Metallic Gold ink.

I really hope you enjoyed today’s video and found it helpful. I love to hear your thoughts on the BetterPress too!
