Pinkfresh “Delightful” Release Blog Hop
Hey y’all! Today I’m hopping along with Pinkfresh Studio to celebrate their “Delightful” Release! As usual, there’s a lot to choose from, and it’s all so beautiful…but the Delighted For You stamp set just called to me to be colored.
I really wanted to keep the focus on those beautiful florals for this card. The large spray of flowers in this set reminded my of lilies, so that’s where I drew my inspiration from for coloring. I love the loose style of these because they lend themselves perfectly to no-line coloring and leave room for some creative license.
I stamped the image in light gray ink and then colored it using Copic markers. But you could use any markers, pencils, or even watercolor as well. I went with a vibrant color palette that I think is perfect for a Spring to Summer transition.
For the background, I used the Delighted For You Press Plate to blind letterpress the image a few times – creating an all over pattern. I think this adds just the right amount of interest without overpowering or competing with the colored florals in the foreground.
To finish off the card, I stamped and die cut one of the sentiments also included in the set in black ink. Simple and elegant.
