VIDEO: Pop-Up Shadow Box Flat Shaker ft. Under the Sea

Hello friends! Today we are taking a closer look at the Under the Sea Glimmer Plates from my Seahorse Kisses Collection with Spellbinders. I’m pairing it with my new obsession – A2 Shaker Acetate Sheets – and creating a fun Pop Up Shadow Box Flat Shaker card!

How cute is that?! Be sure to watch the video below to see how I created it. Warning, these are addictive! I’m also sharing some tips on hot foiling as well, you don’t want to miss it!

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m also a little obsessed with the Opaque Black Glimmer Foil. I really love how it gives your glimmer plates a totally different vibe. And, it pairs beautifully with vibrant Copic coloring.

I love the added texture the Cast Away 3D embossing folder provides for the front of my shadowbox. But, if you like things a little more simple, take a look at my trial run.

I’m really going to have to reign it in on these pop up shaker cards, but I’ve already got another set in mind to try them with. Maybe I’ll quit after that one…maybe not. LOL

While we are here, I wanted to share a couple more cards that I created with this Glimmer Plate. Even though this set is perfect for vibrant, playful cards, it can pull off elegant as well.

For this one, I still went with the black foil, but toned down my color choices a bit. To kick it up a notch, I paired the Seahorse Kisses Sentiments Glimmer Plate with Aura foil. I think this is my favorite card I’ve created with the set yet!

But, we can up the elegance even more. Simply switching out the black foil for Matte Gold foil really changes the whole vibe here.

Classic white on white embossing is the epitome of class and really provides the perfect backdrop for this underwater scene. I made sure the hot foil my sentiment from Seahorse Floral Glimmer Plate before I did my embossing, and then added the “Thanks” using the coordinating die.
