Spellbinders 12 Days of Stitchmas: Days 1-4
Hello Friends! If you haven’t seen it yet, Spellbinders has a released their 2023 12 Days of Stitchmas Advent Calendar. I’ve been good, not peeking, and working one day at a time. I’ve been sharing on YouTube and my other social medias. Some days I’ve had videos, some just posts, and other’s we are doing LIVE in our Facebook group. Today I’ve got the round up post for Days 1-4 to share with you!
First, if you’re not familiar with this advent calendar, I highly suggest you check out my introduction video below for all of the details!
Fun, right? Let’s dive in and take a look!
Day 1
I started out with neutrals, and I’ll warn you now, I’m sticking with it! LOL Once I finished the first ornament, I immediately knew that I wanted an entire series of 12 ornaments for my mixed metals Christmas tree. But, I will also be throwing in some additional project with different colors and styles along the way. But, for day 1, I created a matching card and ornament, both featuring felt. Working with felt and these stitching dies is SO easy and really elevates the dies into substantial ornaments. Be sure to watch the video to see for yourself!
Day 2
For Day 2, I ran with that same color combo and the same supplies from Day 1. Spoiler alert…Days 1-4 all use the same basic supplies and dies, so be sure to check out the featured supplies at the end of this post for details. I decided to make this ornament a little more substantial by adhering it to a 3″ embroidery hoop that I picked up at a big box store. Tip: stock up on these types of things when they go on sale – they are so easy to transform and incorporate into your crafts!
Day 3
Day 3 is another video! This time I went with shades of silver/gray with a pop of red and white.
Like I mentioned in the video, I had a very different plan going in, but it just kind of organically morphed into a very classy, yet fun card!
And of course, I needed an ornament to match my series! The ornament is tied to a couple of tags for presentation purposes in case you wanted to gift it. The recipient can simple untie the twine bow and remove the ornament for hanging on their tree. I am making sure to finish the front and back of each of these when the design is symmetrical so it’s beautiful on both!
Day 4
For Day 4, we opened the door LIVE in our Facebook Group – Wplus9 Encourage Creativity! Working under pressure and on the fly, I was glad that I already started a theme of ornaments!
I am so happy with how these are turning out. And I’m VERY impressed with the dies included in this Advent Calendar. They are detailed and a great size! I hope that you enjoyed this roundup of projects. I’d love to know if you’ve been following along!

I’m looking for the double sided tape you use on back of stitched ornaments to hold thread. Like glue dots but on a roll. Your ornaments are beautiful!
