VIDEO: Combining Companies & LOTS of Die Cutting Tips & Tricks

Hello, I’ve got a good one for y’all today! Honey Bee Stamps sent me some products from their new release and I instantly fell IN LOVE with the Heart Hugs Die. I just knew that it would pair well with lots of products that I already had in my stash. I love when a newly acquired product breaths new life into old favorites, don’t you?

In today’s video, I combine several of my favorite companies and products to create several die heavy cards. I’ve included many of my most used tips and tricks for die cutting and mass producing die heavy cards. I hope you enjoy!

You can check out the still shots of the cards below and I have all of the featured supplies listed at the end of the post. All of the cards feature both the Heart Hugs Die (Honey Bee Stamps), the flowers from Parcel & Post Mailbox (Spellbinders), and various colors of cardstock from Concord & 9th.

First up is the adorable bear. I chose to feature this little guy front and center. If you’ve been here awhile, then you know that I will take any opportunity to work with florals. And these fun whimsical flowers from the Spellbinders Parcel and Post Mailbox Die were perfect for providing a pop of color between the white background and soft grey bear.

Speaking of the background, check out that 3D embossing! The Spring Medley embossing folder has certainly moved straight to the top of my favorites for Spring. I finished the card off with a banner and sentiment from the A Little Note stamp and die.

The Hearts Hug die also has an adorable little fox and hedgehog. This time, I opted to pair the fox with the Lots of Love Background and Lots of Love dies (Wplus9). The Lots of Love Background die is sized for a standard A2 card, however, the design is easily duplicated without detection to cover a slimline card.

Again, those flowers were perfect for accenting the corners of that large sentiment. I had so much fun using up all of that vertical real estate, that I decided another slimline card was in order.

The taller card gave me plenty of room to add all three critters to the front. And this time, I chose to have them hold the letters B-I-G, using the Big Buzzword die. I just love that the little hands on these guys can hold so many different things!

Just like with the last two cards, those same floral die cuts are perfect for providing accents. I just love how many different flowers you can create just by layering different pieces together.

I hope that you’ve been inspired to do some die cutting! As always, thanks for stopping by!
