Pinkfresh Artsy Floral Release Blog Hop
Hello! Today we are hopping along with Pinkfresh Studio in celebration of their Artsy Floral Release! If you are fond of florals – like me – then you’re in for a treat. There are several new gorgeous Watercolor Washi Product Suites included in this release. That means there is a little something for everyone, that all coordinate. Washi tape, stamp set, coordinating die, and stencil. You can pick and choose which ones you want to use.
Today, I opted for the Sakura stamp set. The stamps that coordinate with the washi designs are great candidates for those of you who enjoy adding a little of your own artistic flair to the design. The loose style of this illustrations are perfect for a bit of loose, expressive watercolor.
I stamped the images using Antique Linen Distress Ink and then grabbed my watercolors to paint my own loose florals. The light stamping of the image provides the composition and all I have to do is loosely follow along. This allows me to create similar watercolor florals in any color palette I want, and I don’t have to fuss with sketching! I used the coordinating dies to cut out my images and arranged them on and around a panel die cut using the new Notched Corner Frames Dies.
For the background, I die cut several floral silhouette images using the Wildflower Bouquet dies from white and arranged them in a tossed pattern on a white card base. I just love the subtlety of the white on white detail. To finish it off I added a butterfly from the new Fluttering Butterflies stamps and dies, and a sprinkling of gems.
