Spellbinders 12 Days of Stitchmas 2023 – Days 5-8
Hello! I’m back with a roundup post for Spellbinders 12 Days of Stitchmas 2023. If you remember, I’m creating a series of matching ornaments for each day, along with a few extra projects here and there. If you missed the first round up post, I would definitely start there.
This Advent Calendar is no longer available, but, as promised, I still wanted to share all of my projects as inspiration for those of you that purchased it. If you missed out, but love the idea of these stitched paper crafts or know someone who does, be sure to check out the Stitching Dies Gift Set, which is available now!
So, let’s get on with the inspiration! To make it a little easier, I’ll be adding the featured supplies under each project as well as any individual items that can be purchased outside of the Stitch Along Kit just in case you didn’t pick that up. As always, you’ll be able to find the general supply list at the end go the post. If you see something you like, make sure to pick it up as a lot of these items are currently ON SALE during Cyber Monday!
Day 5
Day 5 was an absolutely gorgeous snowflake. I loved it so much that I actually created 2 very ornate ornaments, but oh, were they worth the effort!

Day 6
Day 6 revealed a large gift box with a bow. I decided to add a few additional items to create a little cluster of gifts backed by a gorgeous foiled background.
I used the small gift boxes from the Christmas Wonder die set along with the poinsettia and holly also included in the set. The etched detail in the presents matched the stitching details in the large present die beautifully! And of course, I worked in a little wool felt present to tie in Days 1-4. I set it all off with a gold foiled background using another favorite of mine this season – the Glimmer Holly Background Foil Plate.

Day 7
For Day 7 I created two projects, an ornament, and a home decor piece. A beautiful bell was the die for day 7. Like all of the other dies in the advent calendar, there are beautiful stitching details that you can opt to use or not. At the beginning of the series, I promised to create some projects without any stitching and the bell was perfect to do some fun inking with. This was SO much fun to create and I mixed in a bunch of Honey Bee stamps products.
Sigh, I just LOVE how this turned out! Be sure to check out the video to see how this beauty was created from start to finish. You’ll find the full supply list for this project in the video description box as well.
Like I mentioned above, I made two projects for Day 7. I still needed an ornament to complete my set. The bell is a stand alone ornament, but I like to create a little backer for presentation purposes. It can double as a tag with an ornament for the recipient.

Day 8
Day 8 was this fun “Joy” done in the same style as “Noel” from Day 4. You get the word “joy”, the circle with the stitching and the shadow die. I wanted to dress it up a bit and give a a little larger footprint to match the rest of the ornaments. I add a gold bow from the day 6 present die, and added a snowflake from the Delicate Snowflakes die.
