Pinkfresh Studio February 2024 “Pure Joy” Release – Blog Hop
Hello and welcome! I’m excited to be hopping along with Pinkfresh Studio today in celebration of their February 2024 Release. And, it’s a one good friends!
There are so many beautiful things to choose from, but I’m starting out with the namesake of the release – Pure Joy. Specifically, I went with the Pure Joy Press Plate.
It’s no secret that I adore the BetterPress System and Press Plates! The versatility of a Press Plate is really unmatched. Today, I went for the drama! I opted to use the Pure Joy Press Plate to hot foil on black cardstock and paint with gouache. Wow!
I ran the the the press plate through my BetterPress without any ink to do a “blind” letterpress. This left me with an impression that I was then able to easily follow along with to paint in the images. Once it had dried, I lined up the press plate over my image and ran it through using my Glimmer Hot Foil System and matte gold foil. LOVE! I then used the coordinating Pure Joy die to cut out my images and arrange them on my card front.
I felt like the back ground could use a little something…but I didn’t want to compete with the bold color of the images. Since I had my Glimmer machine out and warmed up, I grabbed the new Dotted Petals Press Plate and hot foiled it with black. I just adore the subtle tone on tone effect this added to the background. It was just what it needed!
