Pinkfresh “Happiness” Release Blog Hop

Hey y’all! Today I’m hopping along with Pinkfresh Studio to celebrate their “Happiness” Release! And it’s a good one! There are some fun graphic stencils, and of course, the gorgeous florals we have all come to know and love from Pinkfresh.

Today, I’m sharing a closer look at the Beautiful Branch stamp set.

I really loved the delicate nature of these little buds and decided to lean into that by doing my stamping on vellum. I started by stamping the image twice in Espresso ink. I then flipped the vellum over and used the Delightful Branch stencil to add my color on the back of the vellum. This gave me a very diffused ethereal look. The vellum allows light to shine through my colors and bounce back, giving them a luminosity that is quite different from blending on white cardstock.

For the second card I used the same color scheme for a very simple design that really pops with the use of complimentary colors. I stamped the image once, coming in from the left side of my panel. For a little extra interest, I decided to add a border using the new Decorative Frames press plate and die. LOVE these! I think it added just the right touch while keeping in clean and simple.
