Multi-Inked Block Print Zodiac BetterPress™

Have you seen the new Block Print Zodiac Press & Foil Plates from Spellbinders? Now, I love me some good gender neutral products. Which these are. But also, have you met me? If it is possible to add florals, I will.

And of course, I did!

I pulled out an old favorite, Parcel & Post Mailbox, for an assist. The florals in this set are someof my all time favorites. They’re a great size and can be assembled in several different ways which really allows you to get a lot of bang for your buck.

I used several card stock color from Spellbinders – Poppy, Chiffon, Bellini, Dahlia, Beeswax Tuscan, Peridot, Breeze, and Oceanside – to cut a bunch of florals. I assembled my florals and created 2 card bases with a floral border pattern on all sides.

For the focal point, I wanted to create a multi-colored image to match the colors in the florals. I used Strawberry, Tuscan, Coastal, and Cosmic Sky BetterPress™ Inks along with some masking. For example, I masked off everything but the stars using post it tape, inked up the plate with Tuscan ink and ran it through. I did the same for the rest of the colors. This was really easy to do, I just made sure not to move my plate at all between presses.

I absolutely adore how these turned out and think they have a folkish feel to them. What do you think?
