Create Stunning and Easy Holiday Cards with Joyful Poinsettia
The holidays are approaching fast. If you’re looking for cards that are quick and easy, background stamps are always a win. And our Joyful Poinsettia stamp set is perfect for creating cards that pack a punch!

I decided to pair the full background image with a bit of glittered embossing for an extra special something. I stamped the image in Versamark onto Gina K Designs cardstock in Edible Eggplant and then heat embossed it using WOW! Metallic Platinum Sparkle embossing powder.
For the sentiment, I used one of the simple compact sentiments included in Joyful Poinsettia, and heat embossed it using silver embossing powder.

I just love how that all over sparkle on the deep purple background adds so much elegance, with so little effort.
I matted the sentiment with white, and added the poinsettia background panel to a standard A2 white card base. A few jewels from Studio Katia and a little metallic thread nest add the finishing touches.
Got a couple extra minutes? You can step it up a notch.

This was still a super quick and easy card to pull together. I heat embossed the background using WOW! Black Glint embossing powder on Gina K Designs cardstock in Slate. I decided to add a quick wash of metallic watercolor to the images. This went really quickly as I just added a very simple wash of color using various shades from the Finetec Metallic Watercolors.

I love the way the metallic sheen varies and shifts in the light. Again, I opted for one of the sentiments from Joyful Poinsettia, heat embossed it in gold and double matted it this time. To add a pop of color, I added a bit of red gouache to the berries and added a sub sentiment from Poinsettia Bouquets.

Hopefully this gives you a couple of ideas on ways to use those background stamps when you’re short on time, or when you have a little mass production to do.
As always, thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you’re having a wonderful day!
