VIDEO: Composition Tips ft. NEW! Honey Bee Stamps – Lovely Layers Lures

The new Adventure Awaits Release from Honey Bee Stamps is a GOOD one y’all! If you struggle with masculine cards and want a good stash of fun to use products for cards for the men (and women) in your life, I strongly suggest you check it out. I immediately went for the new Lovely Layers: Lures. My husband is an avid fisherman and his birthday was the perfect excuse to hit these little guys up first!

Be sure to watch the video above for more on this set and some tips on composition for both organic and grid layouts. You can check out the photos of the cards I created below and all of the supplies used for today’s cards will be linked in the supply list at the end of this post.

I used the same basic supplies for all three of the cards today. I was able to make each one unique by switching up the layout or colors. You don’t always have to reinvent the wheel to get more mileage out of your supplies! The Cast Away 3D embossing folder from my Seahorse Kisses Collection with Spellbinders made the perfect backdrop for these adorable fishing lures.

Once I had my color palette nailed down, it was smooth sailing. I was able to mass create a bunch of lures and then play around with different layouts to create multiple different cards. The Hooked On You stamp and dies are the perfect compliment to these lures. The set is jam packed with lots of REALLY good sentiments. A little punny, but not cheesy. Score!

But, fishing is not exclusive to men. There are a lot of women who love to fish, including myself. And thankfully, fishing lures are so bright and colorful – not to mention sparkly – that they look amazing in a more feminine color palette as well. So don’t be afraid to glitter these bad boys up! Have you ever seen the paint job on some of those boats? Glitter galore!

Can’t express my thanks enough for your Super helpful video. I learned more about layouts than any video I’ve watched.
I just made 16 lurres along with bobs and feather lures. Because of your fantastic video, now I know how to finish my cards. I’m excited to see your future videos using these products. Thank you Dawn!
P.S. Hope your hubby had a happy birthday 🐠!

A question please. . Can you ink blend metallic paper? If so, which paper & ink works best.
