Pinkfresh “Kindness In Bloom” Release Blog Hop

Hello friends! You know what time it is…time for another fantastic release from Pinkfresh Studio. This release has quite a few stand out beauties as well as some fantastic Mountain and Tree stencils and dies. So if florals aren’t your thing – gasp! – be sure to check these out.

For today’s hop, I’m sharing a closer look at the Blooming Arch product suite. There is a red rubber cling stamp, die, stencil and press plate. This set contains a beautiful arched trellis covered in vining flowers that creates a beautiful focal point. But, I wanted to showcase it a bit differently to share how it can be used a background and paired with other products.

Isn’t that a stunner? I started by stamping the arch in Sapphire ink and then used the stencil to color each layer with Blue Jay ink. I made sure to vary the amount of ink I was applying to build up the color in some areas, and leaving just a light wash on others. I did this for each stencil layer in the set.

With the background complete, I decided to create my focal point using the previously released Garden Party Die. I was out sick with Covid for the last release and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play with these fun florals! I decided to keep everything monochromatic, cutting one set of flowers from white cardstock, and another set from cardstock I had ink blending using Blue Jay ink.

I created a floral cluster, alternating the blue and white layers, and adhered it to an oval cut using the Nested Elongated Ovals Die. I really loved the way this design looks stenciled in this way, and it was super quick and easy to do, so I created another one.

But this time, I decided to trim down the finished panel and pair it with the new Fancy Rectangle Frame Die. Love. Love, love, love this! Notice how the stamp kind of just becomes this gorgeous background pattern now. It creates such a simple, yet elegant backdrop for the florals. I didn’t want to compete with the focal point I’d created and found that the Charming Stitched Florals Coverplate Die added just the right amount of texture to the background that I was looking for.

For both cards, I used the Favorite Things Sentiments Press Plate and Die. I have more ideas in mind using this inking technique, so stayed tuned for more coming soon.

In the meantime, there is still lot’s more inspiration to be found – make sure to hop along to see it all and enter to win!
