Peaceful Dove, Restocks & Black Friday

Hello, and Happy Thanksgiving to those of you celebrating! I’m dropping in today to share a card with you as well as updates on restocks and our Black Friday Sale.

Lets start with the card – featuring the new Peaceful Dove stamp and die. I decided to pair this set with our Peace Banner Die. These products compliment each other beautifully!

I stamped out all of my images using the MISTI with a multi-inking technique – using a sponge dauber to apply Distress Oxide Inks to my stamps. This allowed me to achieve those beautiful color blends on solid stamped images.

For the dove, I inked just the edges of the main stamps to created “shadows” while maintaining the look of a white dove.

I arranged all of my floral images and added the dove behind the “branch” to appear as if he was perched on it.

For the sentiment I used the Peace Banner Die cut from white cardstock and stamped “ON EARTH” using the Script Peace stamp set. This was a “free gift w/purchase” set, but will be available for purchase with restocks.

I also made a version with a little color added to the banner. I always have a hard time deciding between “this or that”….you know what I mean? But I do like the way this mimics the blue watercolor wash in the background and balances the blue at the bottom. But, I still can’t decide which I like better. How about you, which do you prefer?

Speaking of restocks…we have several rolling restocks arriving. We are getting those out to our retailers as fast as we can and the remaining restocks will be added to the store on Friday, just in time for our Black Friday Sale.
